Turmeric Latte is a delicious and nourishing drink, which you must try! You may have read our recent post on Turmeric and its associated health benefits. So, today on the blog we are taking about Turmeric Lattes. They are popping up around town in all your favourite café’s, but what exactly are Turmeric Lattes? And are they really that good for us?

So, a Turmeric Latte is made using, you guessed it… Turmeric. This is mixed with other spices and hot milk (usually Almond or Coconut milk) to make a nourishing warm drink.

So why would we want to swap our coffee for a turmeric latte? Well, Turmeric contains Curcumin. Therefore, has powerful antioxidant, antibacterial, and anti-inflammatory properties. Furthermore, Curcumin’s antioxidant properties help prevent free radical formation in the body. Therefore, it helps protect against abnormal cell function, and has been linked to reducing your risk of developing illnesses such as cancer. Furthermore, it is also believed to protect against premature ageing.

Furthermore, the antibacterial properties means that Turmeric acts as an immune booster. This helps you stay healthy and able to flight off colds and flus. In addition, Turmeric’s anti-inflammatory properties are also very valuable to us, helping to prevent inflammation within the body. Therefore, this means we are better equipped to fight off infection and can help with managing inflammatory conditions, such as arthritis.

Turmeric Latte Recipe


1 cup milk (we recommend Almond or Coconut Milk)

½ Tsp Ground or Fresh Turmeric

¼ Tsp Ground or Fresh Ginger

¼ Tsp Ground Cinnamon (or 1 stick)

½ Tsp Vanilla Extract

½ Tsp Honey

1 tsp Coconut oil


  1. Place milk in saucepan with vanilla, spices and coconut oil.
  2. Heat over a low heat, stirring to combine ingredients.
  3. Heat milk until just below boiling, then remove from heat.
  4. Stir through honey, and serve in mugs.
